Welcome to my website.
My name is Sian Fletcher and I'm a BACP accredited counsellor and psychotherapist and have been practicing since 2005.
I offer both long and short term therapy to adults in London and online.
In these uncertain times, are you looking for someone to talk to who will take the time to listen and try to understand where you are? You may be feeling afraid, alone and isolated, or stuck, and in need of help to work through those blocks that are preventing you from coping with this difficult situation. I offer warmth, empathy and a safe and supportive space for you to explore whatever you want or need to better understand your experience.
I am a specialist in bereavement counselling having volunteered for a bereavement counselling service for 9 years.
I have found from my own experience that many of our emotional challenges are rooted in loss: of our innocence, childhood, and dreams as well as loved ones, relationships and missed opportunities. Sometimes we can get stuck in unresolved grief because it feels too painful or traumatic to remember. But through remembering and allowing the feelings to be released, we can begin to mourn and process the feelings and get unstuck.
I believe we all have the capacity to develop self understanding and compassion. Through curiosity, courage and persistence we can learn to understand our motivations and realise the possibility of change. I am also aware that the potential for change is impacted by social, political and economic structures outside of our individual control. However, with therapeutic support you can learn to be more effective and satisfied in your life.
